Faith Baptist Church
"Faith brings the man to God,
love brings him to men." --- Martin Luther
Welcome!
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6
A Note from the Church
What do we Get From Worship?
According to the Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 14) the assembly of the faithful is for the purpose of building up Christ's body. Body-building in the church is similar to that in our physical body. There is a need for nutritious food, exercise, and rest to accomplish the goal of a healthy, strong body.
In what ways does Christian worship strengthen Christ's body (the church)?
- It nourishes our sense of self-criticism. The Word of God forces us to look at ourselves as others see us, which is bad enough, and as God sees us, which is shattering.
- God's Word also provides hope. Our thoughts are lifted from the natural to the supernatural.
- Music, with a message, lifts our spirits to be in tune with God. Our melody is joined with others in an emotional offering to God.
- We rest in prayer trusting our present and future to our Heavenly Father.
Worship is all this and more when the faithful are deeply, personally involved in what they say, sing, or do. If they are there to merely go through the motions, the spiritual body becomes flabby and lazy. God welcomes the worship of those who come in spirit and truth. We are welcomed into and blessed by true worship.

Grace Walk
by Steve McVey

The nearly 200,000-selling Grace Walk has helped thousands of believers leave behind the "manic-depressive" Christian walk: either running around trying to perform to be acceptable to God-or thinking they've failed Him again and wondering if they'll ever measure up.
Living the grace walk gets Christians off this religious roller coaster. Using his own journey from legalism into grace, Steve McVey illustrates the foundational, biblical truths of who believers are in Jesus Christ and how they can let Him live His life through them each day.
As they experience their identity in Jesus Christ, Christians will come to know "Amazing Grace" as not just a song but as their true way of life.

The Vanishing Conscience
by John MacArthur, Jr.

The bestselling author of The Gospel According to Jesus, MacArthur claims that we have become a people who shift blame, deny guilt, love self and excuse moral failure in this compelling book. The result is diminished integrity and the loss of our ability to experience God's grace and forgiveness. This explosive book presents biblical solutions to the problem of sin, and leads readers from a life of blame and denial to the true peace and freedom.
